We are seeking a skilled and proactive SDET to join our quality engineering team based in Hyderabad, India. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright and Karate, with exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools and Model-Centric Programming (MCP) techniques applied to testing. A solid foundation in Python, and working knowledge of JavaScript, is essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright for UI automation and Karate for API testing.
  • Apply GenAI tools and MCP (Model-Centric Programming) concepts at a foundational level to enhance test strategies and automation efficiency.
  • Develop automated tests in Python and JavaScript where applicable.
  • Contribute to building a scalable automation pipeline within CI/CD ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage in an Agile environment.
  • Design and execute BDD-based test cases, collaborating with stakeholders to define Gherkin-based feature files.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive their resolution.
  • Participate actively in code reviews and promote test-driven development best practices.
  • Continuously research and implement tools and practices that improve testing effectiveness and coverage.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in Test Automation Engineering / SDET roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Karate frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI tools and MCP concepts as applied in testing scenarios (foundational level).
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation scripting.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end and UI test automation.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development environments.
  • Understanding and experience with BDD practices, including writing feature files using Gherkin syntax.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with continuous integration pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
  • Experience with test data management and mock services.
  • Good understanding of performance and security testing concepts.
