Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright
  • Write scalable, reusable, and maintainable test scripts
  • Implement cross-browser testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit)
  • Automate end-to-end workflows and regression suites

Backend & API Testing
  • Automate API tests using REST APIs
  • Validate backend services, response schema, and data integrity
  • Mock/stub services as needed for test isolation

CI/CD & DevOps Integration
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Configure test execution, reporting, and failure analysis
  • Support shift-left testing and continuous quality practices

Quality Engineering
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams
  • Perform test reviews and ensure test coverage
  • Actively contribute to improving QA processes and quality metrics
  • Debug production issues and identify test gaps

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience in UI automation, API testing, and test design
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles and SDLC
  • Experience with REST APIs and JSON
  • Knowledge of Git / version control systems

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Exposure to Docker and containerized test execution
  • Understanding of performance or accessibility testing
  • Agile / Scrum experience
