Ramp monitors will look for, and remove, any hitchhiking plants or animals and will distribute educational materials to boaters. Occasionally the educator may be requested to visit nearby boat ramps, or work an additional day, if a fishing derby or other high-use event is scheduled at that facility. Boat ramp monitors may also be offered the opportunity to participate in additional DCR Lakes and Ponds AIS programs.
