Job Description

Position Summary

The Instructional Design Intern will support the Training Department in developing, organizing, and delivering high-quality learning materials that align with departmental goals and operational procedures. This role offers hands-on experience in instructional design, technical writing, and training logistics. The intern will assist in creating and formatting training content, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting trainers during live sessions. Additionally, the intern will help prepare and print training materials, ensuring they are accessible and aligned with RMV standards. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in instructional design, adult education, or organizational development, offering exposure to real-world training operations and cross-departmental collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of training materials, including presentations, job aids, and eLearning content.
  • Support the review, formatting, and organization of SOPs to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Prepare, print, and assemble training materials for in-person and virtual sessions.
  • Provide logistical and facilitation support to trainers during live training events.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and training staff to ensure instructional content aligns with departmental goals and approved practices.
  • Help maintain training documentation and version control within SharePoint or the Learning Management System (LMS).
