Job Description
Overview
The part-time attorney will report directly to the Vice President and General Counsel and will assist the General Counsel in a wide range of matters. This position is a generalist position. The attorney will perform a variety of legal functions, including reviewing a range of contracts, advising on collective bargaining agreements, analyzing campus-wide risks, conducting legal research on a plethora of issues, assisting in responding to public records requests, assisting in training sessions, and other responsibilities as assigned by the General Counsel.
This position is a remote, part-time (19 hours per week), non-benefited position. Although this is a remote position, there may be occasions when in-person presence is required. This position is located in Salem, Massachusetts.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, contract, and employment law.
Working Location
This is a primarily remote position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
