Description:
The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracted Student Intern to support the Office of Environmental Justice and Equity (OEJE). This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that advance environmental justice, equity, and interagency collaboration across the Commonwealth.
The Office of Environmental Justice & Equityadvances high-profile environmental justice and equity strategies and initiatives. We seek experienced, resourceful, and passionate interns to join our team. Gain valuable professional experience, expand your resume, apply your ideas, advance your knowledge, further develop key skills and competencies, and learn and grow.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with research for diverse projects
- Draft presentations
- Conduct data analysis and research
- Assist with interagency collaboration
- Support the Office of EJ&E Team as needed

Unpaid Internship Program details:
- Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid position requiring one to two days per week in the office for designated meetings; remaining work may be completed remotely
- Internship Timeline: February 16 - May 31, 2026
This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university.
