Job Description

This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university.

Protect the environment and the natural resources of the Commonwealth through enforcement, education and public outreach.

Job Description:

Assist with the operations of the Massachusetts Environmental Police Boat and Recreational Vehicle Safety Bureau by performing administration duties for the training, accident investigation and boat education units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate information resources/staff
• Assisting with other administrative tasks
• Assist with trainings for the boat safety program

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with public
• Data entry
• MS office including Excel and Word
• An interest working in a law enforcement environment
• Knowledge of boats, the marine environment, law enforcement, recreational vehicles and other outdoor activities preferred
