Senior Manager, Warehouse Engineer
We are establishing a Greenfield manufacturing facility in Mexico. This will be the flagship facility in line with Industry 4.0 with state-of-the-art advanced automation and digitization. To deliver this, we are hiring a highly competent and motivated Warehouse Engineer who will support the design and implementation of the new warehousing facility, as well as act as the local SME for startup, stabilization, and ongoing operations.
The Warehouse Manager will support the design, procurement, installation, and start-up of the warehousing workstream for the new facility. The design will be done in partnership with multi-functional team including global IT, external consultants, and with global subject matter experts. Upon completion of the new facility, the role will support ongoing improvements, maintenance, and process changes for the site. The role will act as the technical SME ensuring warehousing system and physical process match business needs.
Responsibilities
Evaluate current warehousing operations and consider business needs and areas for improvement.
Design, develop, and implement automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in warehousing processes, collaborating with external vendors and global SMEs.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including design, testing, and startup phases.
Coordinate with suppliers and other workstreams (IT, Civil, Production, etc) for design, RFQ, detailed design, and equipment delivery.
Lead concept and basic design phases to support detailed design and construction.
Support the engineering and operations teams during project startup.
Stay updated with advancements in warehousing technologies and processes, updating company standards as technologies advance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, leading initiatives to promote safer and more sustainable operations.
Adhere to all safety requirements and work regulations.
Provide training and support to warehouse staff to use the automated systems and processes efficiently.
Document all processes and changes and create local user manuals or instructions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in warehousing processes and automation or a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of relevant safety, quality, costs, and regulatory standards.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and management.
Ability to partner and collaborate effectively within different functions and CPS plants, as well as externally with suppliers.
Strong attention to detail in identifying issues, making assessments, and giving recommendations.
Excellent project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to provide training and support to staff.
Travel required: less than 25% mainly traveling between current operations at Mexico City and greenfield location.

Comprehensive knowledge of warehousing management systems (SAP EWM preferred), warehousing processes (Inbound, Picking, Outbound), and equipment (ASRS, AGV, AMR).
