Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Strategic Growth supports the Operating Unit's growth agenda by leading specific strategic analyses, workstreams, and initiatives that shape business decisions.
Reporting to the Senior Director, this role structures complex problems, conducts strategic assessments, and provides high-quality recommendations that feed into OU growth strategies. The Senior Manager focuses on execution excellence, analytical depth, and cross-functional engagement within defined strategic areas.
This role is essential for building the fact base, generating insights, and driving the rigor required for strong strategy design and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic analysis and workstreams
Own end-to-end analysis for assigned strategic topics (e.g., category growth drivers, whitespace assessment, competitive intelligence, channel opportunity evaluation).
Build robust fact bases, frame key questions, and generate clear strategic implications.
Support development of growth strategies
Translate insights into structured recommendations that inform where-to-play and how-to-win choices.
Develop scenarios, business cases, and prioritization frameworks to support decision-making.
Track progress of priority initiatives
Monitor milestones, KPIs, and risks for assigned strategic programs.
Provide analysis-driven recommendations to adjust course when needed.
Enable strong cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with Category, Channel, Finance, RGM, and Bottlers to ensure strategic clarity and alignment.
Provide transparent, actionable synthesis for business partners.
Deliver clear, concise strategic storytelling
Transform insights and analysis into compelling narratives for senior audiences.
Ensure outputs support informed, timely decisions.
Support capability building & strategic processes
Strengthen problem-solving, synthesis, and strategic framing within project teams.
Contribute to improving tools, templates, and standard methodologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Experience
- 5-8+ years in strategy, business planning, consulting, analytics, or insights.
- Experience structuring complex business problems and leading analytical workstreams.
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize data into strategic insights.
- Clear, concise communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and managing multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in consumer or FMCG industries.
- Familiarity with strategic tools (e.g., scenarios, business cases, portfolio frameworks).
- Exposure to transformation, innovation, or long-term growth programs.
