Senior Director, Legal Counsel - North America
The Senior Director, Legal Counsel, Customer - North America is a leader within the Customer Legal Team, reporting through the North America Legal organization. This role partners closely with business leaders and legal subject matter experts to address complex, high impact issues affecting the Company's customer relationships, brands and growth strategy. This role requires a highly collaborative mindset, working in a networked legal model with colleagues across the enterprise to deliver cohesive, practical, and business-oriented legal solutions. The Senior Director advises on sophisticated commercial agreements and broader legal matters while helping shape how legal services are delivered at scale.
What You'll Do for Us
Strategic Customer & Commercial Leadership
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex, high value customer agreements with Foodservice On Premise and Retail customers, aligning legal strategy with commercial objectives.

- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior business leaders, supporting growth initiatives while protecting the Company's interests.
- Identify, assess and clearly communicate legal risks to business stakeholders, providing practical, solution oriented guidance to mitigate exposure.
Cross Functional Legal Collaboration
- Partner with legal subject matter experts (e.g., Antitrust, Marketing & IP, Privacy, Regulatory, Litigation, Compliance) to address multifaceted issues.
- Coordinate legal input on enterprise level initiatives to ensure advice is consistent, integrated and aligned with Company policies and risk tolerance.
- Foster strong working relationships across the Global Legal Function to enable knowledge sharing and efficient issue resolution.
Legal Process Improvement & Ways of Working
- Collaborate with legal and business colleagues to improve how legal services are delivered, including streamlining customer contracting processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Help shape standards, playbooks and best practices to enable scalable legal support while maintaining appropriate controls.
Leadership, Influence & Enablement
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and oversight to other legal professionals.
- Deliver training and education to business teams on key legal topics, emerging risks and best practices to support informed decision making.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement across the Legal Function.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Accredited U.S. law degree (or equivalent).
- Qualified to practice law in Georgia or another appropriate U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 8+ years of legal experience, preferably focused on complex commercial transactions.
- Experience at a top tier law firm and/or a large, sophisticated in-house legal department.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through collaboration, manage complex, cross functional matters, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong judgment, communication skills, and ability to translate legal complexity into practical business advice.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 10-15%).

Pay Range:$201,000 - $243,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
