Senior Director II, Finance - FP&A & Resource Allocation

Role Purpose

The Senior Director II, FP&A & Resource Allocation Finance, is a key partner to the Marketing organization, supporting the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team in driving resource allocation, analyzing marketing performance, and developing long-term projections. The role is responsible for high-quality financial reporting and planning and leads the digital transformation of budgeting and forecasting processes to enable faster, data-driven resource decisions for both immediate needs and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear, insight-driven reporting on marketing performance, investment returns, and key financial drivers to support executive decision-making.
  • Provide strategic variance, risk, and opportunity analysis with recommendations that guide Marketing leadership priorities.
  • Lead the digital modernization of marketing budgeting and forecasting through advanced analytics, automation, and next-generation planning platforms.
  • Build real-time financial visibility through integrated dashboards, connected data sources, and streamlined planning workflows.
  • Develop long-range financial projections and strategic scenarios that inform enterprise-level resource allocation and long-term investment decisions.
  • Deliver dynamic "what-if" modeling to evaluate strategic choices, major investments, and evolving market conditions.
  • Optimize marketing resource allocation across campaigns, sponsorships, and digital initiatives using data-driven financial frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in investment effectiveness through disciplined ROI measurement and post-initiative performance assessments.
  • Serve as the senior finance partner to Marketing, shaping strategy with forward-looking insights, effectiveness through disciplined ROI measurement, and post-initiative performance assessments.
  • Accelerate digital maturity across Marketing Finance by identifying and implementing automation, analytics enhancements, and modern FP&A tools.
  • Lead financial strategy and evaluation for Marketing Assets, advising on investment choices that maximize long-term value creation.
  • Manage long-term Marketing Assets planning and ensure alignment with NAOU's strategic marketing investment agenda.
  • Enhance the speed, accuracy, and insightfulness of Marketing Assets analysis by digitizing reporting and scenario-planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; advanced degree or professional certification a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or investment analysis, preferably supporting Marketing or Commercial teams.
  • Proven expertise in digitalizing or automating budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes using modern tools and technology (e.g., Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI, SAP BPC).
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and process improvement skills, with a track record of delivering impactful reporting and digital finance solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate finance data for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in implementing technology upgrades and digital transformation.
  • High learning agility and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Pay Range:$197,000 - $222,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
