Senior Director, Franchise Strategy Korea
The Franchise Strategy role sits at the center of enterprise value creation in the Operating Unit, accountable for shaping and driving the company's growth agenda in South Korea. As part of the Strategy function, this role leads the development of present-forward and future-back growth strategies for South Korea, translating ambition into clear where-to-play and how-to-win choices, and ensuring disciplined execution across the organization.
This Franchise Strategy leader identifies and prioritizes the few growth bets that matter most in the market, establishes clear trade-offs, and mobilizes cross-functional teams to deliver impact. The role acts as a trusted strategic partner to Korea senior leadership -pressure-testing decisions, aligning resources and investments, and driving accountability for results.
Operating across time horizons and organizational boundaries, the Franchise Strategy role ensures strategies are not only well-designed but also executed effectively, adapted as needed, and translated into sustainable growth and long-term value creation for Korea.
Key Responsibilities for the Role
- Develop locally relevant growth strategy: Define clear where-to-play and how-to-win strategies across categories, channels, and key geographies. Own both present-forward and future-back strategy development, combining near-term insights with long-term opportunity shaping to drive profitable topline growth and build sustainable competitive advantage in the Korea market.
- Drive strategic prioritization: Identify and prioritize the few big bets that matter most for sustainable growth. Frame and pressure-test strategic options, making explicit choices and trade-offs that align resources toward the highest-value opportunities, including whitespace plays, new business models, and long-term challenges unique to Korea.
- Track and accelerate progress: Monitor progress of strategic priorities and initiatives, establishing clear execution governance, milestones, and success metrics. Translate insights into timely recommendations to accelerate, pivot, or course-correct strategy execution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Partner to deliver impact: Work closely with Finance and key functions to lead an end-to-end strategy-to-execution business planning process in Korea, translating strategy into clear targets, investment choices, capability roadmaps, and performance routines.
- Foster strategic dialogue: Partner with Korea Category, Channel, and Bottler teams to develop a coherent, prioritized portfolio strategy for Korea that ensures initiatives and resources are focused on the most promising growth opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, enabling enterprise-level alignment and decision-making.
- Provide thought leadership: Serve as an in-house strategy partner for Korea who brings structure, clarity, and insight to complex, ambiguous challenges - challenging assumptions, elevating strategic thinking, and guiding the organization toward sharper choices and faster learning in Korea.
- Build external connections: Build networks across Korea partners and industry thought leaders to capture emerging opportunities, sense early signals of disruption, and keep the Korea organization future-oriented.
