Senior Director, Finance - Retail - Wal-Mart

The Director of Finance role will manage financial planning and analysis activities to identify risks and opportunities, as well as contribute to achieving the organization's financial goals. The qualified candidate should have global finance experience and can demonstrate the ability to do advanced financial analysis that has contributed to significant financial impact. This individual also needs to have strong thought leadership and be able to operate with cutting edge technologies and practices to continuously advance how finance is delivered.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Provides and validates consolidated Operating Unit financials and narratives for earnings release submission, submits narratives and manual templates to Group and Operating Unit leadership team Creating a picture of success and builds a global roadmap of transformation in partnership with other key leaders and stakeholders, to realize opportunities through the implementation of specific prioritized initiatives informed by industry best practices.
  • Leads collaborative business partnership to develop and execute commercial support to drive decision making.
  • Provides Operating Unit financial statements and reviews closing reports to review/guide team on actual P&L variance analysis with narratives.
  • Leads monthly/quarterly PL, B/S review meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive global solutions for end-to-end process efficiencies --- leveraging digitization and generating productivity (i.e., time and cost savings, lead time reduction, elimination of waste, etc.) for the enterprise.
  • Leads communication with Operating Unit and Corporate to ensure alignment and support on strategy and also leads the monthly CFO call explaining the business results and rolling estimate view with fact-based analysis.
  • Analyzes and understands the key drivers to Coca-Cola revenue growth including the impact and implication of System revenue dynamics.
  • Leads and reviews Employee Cost Planning (ECP) forecasts with Gain from Operations (GFO) through collaboration with Human Resources (HR), and other internal stakeholders.
  • Reviews and manages operational expenditure (OPEX) for all Regions including leading Operating Unit OPEX planning and tracking.
  • Actively communicates, engages, inspires and motivates the team to drive performance and achieve individual and team objects.
  • Builds team capabilities in both functional and soft skills with the aim to develop the next generation of leaders.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required with Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of financial management experience in a global consumer product or financial services company with responsibility for similar size of operations
  • Track record of business/financial management involving influencing, communicating effectively, and managing against business needs and collaborating with senior leaders across different international markets.
  • Ability to drive a balanced approach as well as understand/articulate tradeoffs to achieving business targets in an optimized way (i.e., volume, profit, timing, speed, risk, short-term vs. long-term metrics).
  • People and resources management experience is ideal
  • The ability to apply forecasting techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies and analyze information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning and/or re-planning, and controlling financial results are needed.
  • Must possess ability to motivate and develop the talent and to collaborate with cross-functional peers to define the business plan/rolling estimate deliverables
  • Financial acumen including global currencies, management accounting, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, planning, value chain and system economics, marketing principles, risk management, global standards (business data, financial accounts and policies, marketing metrics, etc.).

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
