This critical role operates within Research & Development (R&D) as part of the Global Development & Innovation (GDI) function and ensures the integrity, quality, and continuity of Coca-Cola Trademark products on a global scale. Success in this position requires deep technical expertise in analytical chemistry, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse global teams. You will play a vital role in maintaining Coca-Cola's leadership in product excellence, regulatory compliance, and consumer trust while enabling robust formula governance practices that support innovation worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management & Analytical Testing
- Perform incident management and analytical testing for Coca-Cola Trademark products, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of product quality issues (48-hour sample turnaround time).
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to uphold quality standards, regulatory compliance, and consumer safety.
- Design, review, and execute experiments (e.g., lab or process experiments) to ensure safety, efficacy, and innovation for ingredients, packaging, and final products.
- Develop and validate analytical methods and laboratory equipment to ensure reliable test results while maintaining robust quality systems.
Sample Management & Chemical Analysis
- Manage incoming and outgoing product samples (e.g., logging, labelling, shipping) using tools like Sample Manager to ensure traceability across global networks.
- Conduct advanced chemical analyses using techniques such as GC, LC, and GC/MS to determine sample composition and identify quality concerns.
Operational Efficiency & Collaboration
- Organize workflows to optimize laboratory efficiency, prioritize tasks, and meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ingredients, Flavor Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D) to drive innovation and solve critical challenges.
- Support the development of a global analytical network in collaboration with ASL and quality teams to enhance technical capabilities.

Reporting & Knowledge Sharing
- Prepare detailed memos, reports, and presentations on project progress, process improvements, and best practices.
- Provide insights on competitive product analysis, partnering with product developers to maintain Coca-Cola's edge in the beverage market.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.
- Experience: At least 3+ years of expertise in analytical chemistry, flavor chemistry, or product development, preferably in the beverage or food industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in advanced analytical methodologies, including GC, LC, GC/MS, and instrument troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of flavor chemistry, beverage manufacturing processes, and formula management systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Proven project management expertise with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder influence skills (both technical and non-technical audiences).
