Quality Technician II- Syrup Mixer (3rd Shift 7pm-3:30am)

The Syrup Mixer is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing syrup batches according to established formulas and quality standards. This role ensures consistency, safety, and efficiency in the production process while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to approved recipes and batch sheets
  • Operate mixing tanks, pumps, and related production equipment
  • Monitor mixing times, temperatures, and ingredient flow to ensure product quality
  • Perform quality checks (color, viscosity, flavor, and consistency) during and after mixing
  • Record batch data, ingredient usage, and production results accurately
  • Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and work areas following SOPs and GMPs
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
  • Report equipment malfunctions, product deviations, or safety issues to supervisors
  • Assist with raw material handling and inventory rotation (FIFO)
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing is an advantage
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, batch records, and safety procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment

  • Time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
  • Work in a warm, wet, or noisy manufacturing environment

Work Schedule

  • Shift-based work, including nights, weekends, or overtime as required

Safety & Compliance

  • Adherence to GMP, HACCP, and company safety policies is man
