Quality Specialist
CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Advantaged Supply Chain of the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners across a global network of manufacturing plants.
This role supports the design, qualification, and validation of Quality and Laboratory systems for the new greenfield site in Mexico. The position contributes to ensuring that processes, systems, and production lines are developed, validated, and compliant with Coca-Cola requirements and regulatory expectations before start-up.
The role focuses on supporting the implementation of Quality by Design frameworks, helping integrate quality into the site from the early design phases through commissioning and qualification.
What You'll Do For Us:
- Support the validation of new production lines, ensuring processes, systems, and equipment meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards before operational start-up.
- Assist in implementing a structured validation and qualification approach, including process validation, equipment qualification, and method validation, aligned with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the deployment of Quality by Design principles, supporting the integration of quality into process design, material selection, and facility layout.
- Support the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the new site (KORE, ISO, GMP), including document management, validation standards, change management processes, and traceability frameworks.
- Participate in the design and set-up of laboratory capabilities, including selection of analytical methods, equipment, and qualification of laboratory systems.
- Assist in managing change control activities to ensure the controlled implementation of new processes and systems.
- Support supplier and material qualification processes before approval.
- Participate in design review activities for process flows, equipment specifications, and capital project decisions from a quality standpoint.
- Provide quality input within cross-functional project teams to support compliant system design.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or related scientific discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience in Quality, Laboratory, or Manufacturing roles within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Good understanding of validation and qualification (process, equipment, methods).
- Basic knowledge of Quality Systems (KORE, ISO, GMP).
- Exposure to laboratory systems and analytical methods.
- Experience working in project environments or supporting new system implementations is an advantage.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and learning agility; ability to support change management and risk assessment activities.
- The role requires regular presence at the Mexico greenfield site to support design, qualification, and validation activities.
- Travel expected (approx. >50%) to coordinate with CPS teams, suppliers, and stakeholders during the project phase.
