DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
The Project Management Office (PMO) Co-Ordinator is responsible for establishing and managing the Project Management Office to ensure effective project governance, standardization, and successful delivery of Engineering projects across the organization. This role involves setting up frameworks, best practices, tools, and metrics to monitor project performance, manage the capital budget, and improve project delivery outcomes. The position reports to the Process Engineering Manager.
What you will do for us
- Ensure all Engineering projects are compliant with organizational policies and strategic objectives.
- Effectively manage capital and resource allocation to support project success.
- Develop and maintain standardized engineering templates and folder structures to ensure documentation is complete and accurate before progressing to the next project phase.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop realistic and achievable expenditure profiles for each project.
- Manage spend allocations and performing monthly reallocation of over or under-expenditures following month-end reporting.
- Analyze project expenditures and review upcoming monthly and quarterly spending forecasts with the Project Manager to identify and address potential variances.
- Prepare monthly reports comparing actual spending against forecasts to ensure alignment with Business Plan (BP) targets.
- Oversee all outgoing Project Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring delivery timelines are aligned with approved expenditure profiles.
- Work closely with the Finance team to confirm that project spending aligns with financial expectations.
- Monitor adherence to established project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Provide continuous training and support to project teams to uphold high performance and quality standards.

- Leading the technical training aspect for internal and external audits.
- Support key Operational Excellence activities from a Capital Expenditure perspective. For example, Development of PMO (Project Management Office) Systems, Project Tracking Systems, Project spend tracking system.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree Business Studies preferred.
- IPM - PMO Certification an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project) required.
- Strong Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- 5+ years of relevant Project Management co-ordination experience required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Analytical-thinking and problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
