Flavour Manufacturing Wexford is currently seeking to recruit a permanent Production Operator for its manufacturing and innovation facility based in Wexford Town.
This Wexford facility is part of The Coca-Cola Business System - the world's largest beverage company, refreshing consumers with some of the world's best loved brands. Led by Coca-Cola, one of the world's most valuable and recognisable brands, our Company's portfolio features 20 billion-dollar brands including Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Fanta, Sprite and Diet Coke.
This position will perform a wide variety of tasks in the overall operation of the plant using Company Quality system guidelines to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. These tasks will be in materials handling, processing, blending, filling and labelling areas. These will require a level of computer literacy, mechanical aptitude, and physical effort. This position may be required to work on a two-cycle shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Main Tasks: (due to the importance of associate flexibility, associates may be required to carry out other duties in addition to these functions)
- Perform production activities for equipment set up, package filling and labelling, and records retention using the Coca Cola Quality System guidelines in order to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
- Prepare all equipment used in the manufacturing process prior to use in order to ensure smooth, sanitary and safe operation.
- Operate various machines as needed in order to ensure proper packaging of ingredients
- Maintain the plant's manufacturing equipment in sanitary condition according to Company GMP policies and procedures in order to assure the quality of the manufactured product
- Perform final quality check/inspection for accuracy and visible damage prior to shipment to customer
- Safeguard Company trademarks that standardize and protect all information surrounding confidential ingredients and flavours manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company in order to prevent breach of trademark security within the Company
- Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products using established legal safeguards in order to prevent a breach of trademark security within the Company

Skills and Experience required:
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience in Food/Beverage/Pharma environment
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Aptitude for operating machinery and equipment
- Aptitude for computers and demonstrated computer literacy
- SAP experience is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in team-based environment
- Organised, methodical, tidy and the ability to work in a controlled and structured way
- Quality focused and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and solid judgement skills
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
- Fork truck experience is desirable
What You'll Do for Us
- Ensure efficient operation of case forming, case packing, labeling and all other downstream equipment
- Perform package quality checks and maintain accurate records and logs
- Work directly with maintenance personnel, other line personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum production efficiencies
- Troubleshoot and correct machinery or quality problems

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be certified on training plan for this position within 6 months of start date
- The ability to read, write and speak the English language is required
- Working knowledge of production environment and machinery
- Attention to detail and the ability to visually identify materials defects
- Computer literacy and strong mechanical aptitude
- The ability to use common hand tools and small power tools is required
- Good math and communication skills are essential
- Flexibility to work any shift as required in a 24/5 operating facility with little notice
- Must be a team player and be willing to rotate positions as needed
- Participation in job development training and cross-training on all equipment is required
