Role Overview

Looking for a fast-paced, technically challenging opportunity to work on innovation for global sparkling flavor brands such as Sprite, Fanta and Schweppes? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Sparkling Flavors Product Development team. This role is split approximately 50% data-driven projects and 50% hands-on beverage product development activities, providing exposure to both modern digital tools and traditional lab-based work.

This role offers meaningful ownership of defined projects and the opportunity to shape how data is used within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Digital Projects (≈50%)

  • Develop clear and compelling data visualizations and dashboards to support portfolio and competitive analysis
  • Support analysis of product attributes, claims, formulation variables, and sensory data
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the product portfolio
  • Assist in automating recurring reports or data workflows to improve efficiency
  • Translate data into concise, actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders

Tools may include: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or other similar tools

Product Development Support (≈50%)

  • Assist with lab-scale experimentation and product prototyping
  • Support product analysis and documentation of experimental results
  • Participate in sensory evaluations and compile sensory data
  • Maintain accurate records of formulations, tests, and outcomes
  • Support sample preparation and general lab organization

The internship will culminate in a final presentation highlighting insights, recommendations, and project outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and comfort working with data and learning new digital tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly through visuals and written summaries

Preferred

  • Experience with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exposure to sensory science or lab-based experimentation
  • Interest in product development, innovation, and data-driven decision making

Compensation:

  • Monthly Salary (undergraduate): $4,506
