Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute practical short-, mid-, and long-term maintenance strategies for production and utility equipment
- Establish and continuously improve Preventive Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and TPM.
- Lead troubleshooting activities with strong safety considerations and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
- Improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through structured loss elimination activities
- Reduce unplanned downtime and improve production stability through effective maintenance planning and execution
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, food safety, quality, GMP, and environmental standards
- Implement and improve maintenance systems including spare parts management, breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, 5S, and maintenance documentation management
- Maintain proper calibration and inspection systems for equipment and utilities
- TPM & Continuous Improvement
- Promote TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement culture across maintenance and manufacturing teams
- Support Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), and focused improvement activities
- Lead cross-functional improvement activities and problem-solving workshops
- Support operational excellence initiatives through data-driven analysis and continuous equipment optimization

- Technical & Utility Management
- Support stable operation and maintenance of utility systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, water treatment, and electrical systems
- Support troubleshooting and reliability improvement of PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment
- Ensure maintenance work is safely executed, including work at heights, confined space work, LOTO, and hazardous material handling
- Optimize utility operations and equipment performance to improve energy efficiency and sustainability performance
- KPI & Cost Management
- Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs including OEE, compliance, maintenance cost, spare parts consumption, and energy efficiency.
- Prepare regular maintenance reports and performance updates
- Manage maintenance budgets and optimize maintenance costs considering overall business priorities
- Maintain and manage appropriate spare parts inventory to support stable operations and cost optimization
- Promote cost-saving and energy-saving initiatives
- Projects & Compliance
- Support CAPEX projects, equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and equipment upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering and global teams to align equipment selection and maintenance strategies
- Manage contractors, OEMs, and external service providers to ensure safe and effective work execution
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Support Integrated Management System requirements including safety, quality, food safety, and environmental compliance standards
- People & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team in collaboration with global team members
- Build technical capability, maintenance ownership, and succession planning within the team
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, QSE, Planning, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams
- Foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or manufacturing plant experience required; broader maintenance leadership experience preferred
- Experience in beverage, food, FMCG, chemical, or high-speed manufacturing industry preferred
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience preferred; leadership potential and growth mindset will also be considered
- Knowledge and practical experience of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and reliability improvement methodologies
- Understanding of PLCs, automation systems, control systems, electrical systems, and utility equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance safety including work at heights, confined space work, hazardous material handling, and LOTO practices
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and people management skills are strongly required
- Experience supporting CAPEX projects and equipment upgrades preferred
- Business-level Japanese required; English communication skills preferred
