The CPS Japan Modernization Program is a critical transformation initiative to build a future-ready Concentrate manufacturing site in Japan. The program is designed to strengthen sustainability, resilience, and operational efficiency by embedding CPS excellence and Industry 4.0 technologies across the end-to-end value chain. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of Coca-Cola operations in Japan and set a global benchmark for modern, safe, and compliant manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global-scale greenfield programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Provide engineering leadership across design, construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Own CAPEX and OPEX planning, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure construction safety and full EHS compliance.
- Ensure GMP and food safety compliance in facility design, execution, and startup.
- Own end-to-end validation management (commissioning, qualification, validation).
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years' experience in engineering, capital projects, or manufacturing.
- Proven leadership of large, global greenfield or major capital programs.
- Strong experience managing senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ownership of CAPEX/OPEX and project delivery.
- Proven track record in construction safety, validation, and GMP/food safety compliance.
- Fluent in English; Japanese proficiency preferred.
- Success Measures
- Project delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Zero major construction safety incidents.
- Successful GMP/food safety compliance and validation.
- Seamless handover to operations with CPS standards embedded.
- Manage multiple stakeholders, including Site GM, global leaders, and external partners.
- Provide clear executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and mitigation.
