Director, Supply Chain

The Supply Chain Director - is responsible for supply chain oversight for select brands within NAOU. This role supports supply chain functions including, but not limited to order management, procurement, quality control, inventory management, production planning, material planning, warehousing and logistics. This role is also responsible for managing key project initiatives that will drive cost savings and cost optimization for the category business unit assigned to the role. This role works with internal and external Supply Chain organizations and Businesses to gather all pertinent costs, capacities, and constraints of the current infrastructure as well as all long-term volumes. This role will also be a hybrid role that serves as a Program Mgt Director as assigned for special projects.

Functional Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional projects and programs across assigned product category(s).
  • Develop, manage, and execute integrated project plans and timelines.
  • Guide projects through the Stages and Gates process and ensure accurate, timely Workfront records.
  • Facilitate identification of project risks and establish actionable risk management plans.
  • Provide clear, timely verbal and/or written project updates.
  • Present project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership during key forums (e.g., Stages & Gates, One Technical Voice)
  • Consult with and influence leaders across multiple functions to support decision-making and resolve issues.
  • Leading supply management routines that include Management Business Reviews and 3rd party relationships
  • Leading strategic supply chain projects and programs that enable new product innovation, drive costs savings, or supports network optimization
  • Leading and Implementing process improvement initiatives (e.g., supplier or customer business processes and practices) to benefit the system and suppliers or customers by directing supply chain activities, involving internal (CPS) & external suppliers, functional peers, account teams and/or cross- functional teams.
  • Developing and executing strategic supply chain project plans and timelines
  • Identifying key drivers of service to create solutions to decrease costs, increase quality, and deliver additional improvements to our P&L
  • Conducting regular business reviews with key internal and external stakeholders to monitor relationship, re-affirm strategies linked to needs and steward the business, operational and/or personal value created for the customer.
  • Evaluating, monitoring, and projecting long-term supply/demand analysis (i.e., capacity planning where appropriate)
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices to secure benefits for the KO system, suppliers and/or the customer (e.g., cost savings, new technologies and innovations, operating efficiencies).
  • Identifying supply chain metrics (i.e. forecast variance, total spending, cost savings, etc) using data collection and survey reporting methods to monitor performance.
  • Securing and managing cross-functional resources
  • Developing and executing the project plan and timeline
  • Stewarding projects through the CIF process and maintaining CokeWorks records (where necessary)
  • Facilitating the identification of project risks and establishing risk management plans
  • Consulting with and influencing management, at various levels, in and across a wide variety of functions
  • Participating in the identification, development, and implementation of process improvements across the supply chain network

Position Requirements:

  • Education -- Required: Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
  • Travel Requirements -- Up to 20%
  • Related Work Experience: -- At least 5 to 7 years of work experience in Supply Chain Optimization, Supply Planning, Project Management, or relevant related field

  • Supply Planning: Understanding forecast inputs/outputs to create production plan required to deliver On-time and in-full for customers, while limiting liabilities and financial exposure

  • Supply Chain: Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements. Ability to manage and execute strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain efficiencies in the completion of a quality finished good. Ability to analyze, balance, synchronizes and synergizes all internal and external resources and assets to ensure the progress and ultimate completion of a finished good.
  • Business Activity Processes: Ability to establish and define processes, and continuously monitor and improve processes to facilitate the execution of business activities.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve current state.
