Position Overview

As part of our Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) team in the ASEAN & South Pacific (ASP) region, you will play a country PACS leadership role with full end-to-end accountability for Malaysia. Operating as a senior individual contributor, you will operate with an enterprise and system mindset, acting as a trusted advisor to Company and bottler leadership, while personally leading and executing advocacy, communications, sustainability activation, and PACS operations in complex and evolving environments.

You will serve as the primary PACS representative and trusted advisor to internal leadership and bottling partners, while externally representing the Company with governments, industry bodies, media, and other key stakeholders. This role requires the ability to move seamlessly between strategic leadership and hands-on execution-from shaping advocacy strategies and narratives, to managing issues, crises, budgets, agencies, reporting, and approvals.

Malaysia PACS Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the development and execution of integrated in-country PACS strategy and annual work plan for Malaysia, with full accountability for outcomes.
  • Serve as the sole in-country PACS lead, providing thought leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on execution while coordinating across Company functions, bottlers, and external partners.
  • Lead and execute legislative and regulatory advocacy, including issue monitoring, policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, engagement planning, and direct advocacy to support business and industry priorities.
  • Build, cultivate, and sustain senior-level relationships with government ministries, regulators, industry and trade associations, think tanks, NGOs, and media as the Company's in-country PACS leader.
  • Develop and personally execute communications strategies and campaigns-including corporate positioning, issues communications, executive messaging, and media engagement-to support business, reputation, and license-to-operate objectives.
  • Lead sustainability and community initiatives, translating sustainability priorities into locally relevant, credible programs and campaigns that support both corporate commitments and commercial objectives.
  • Strengthen and protect the Company's corporate reputation through proactive stakeholder engagement, media relations, community affairs, and sustainability storytelling.
  • Own PACS operations and governance, including planning routines, performance tracking, reporting, budget management, vendor and agency oversight, approvals, and compliance with internal processes.
  • Lead in-country Incident and Crisis Management, serving as the PACS focal point and coordinator in close collaboration with bottlers, Technical, Supply Chain, Legal, and regional teams.
  • Provide clear, concise counsel to internal stakeholders, translating complex external dynamics into actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.
