Reports to: Senior Director, Investment Management (Based in Tokyo, Japan)

Summary
This role will act as one of the key leads within the Investment Management team in Finance, responsible for the prioritization and evaluation of investment resources across the organization touching upon brand marketing, shopper activation within channels, and functional spending. This role is the owner of Resource Allocation capabilities for the Japan and Korea Operating Unit. Resource Allocation is a key enabler for profitable growth of the business, and is regularly highlighted by The Coca-Cola Company executives as a key priority globally. The Investment Management Director will be a critical role for funding key strategies across the business with agility and maximum effectiveness.
What You'll Do for Us
- Own the budgeting of $400MM+ annual spending of Marketing and Shopper Activation spending managed by the Japan and Korea Operating Unit during Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Business Plan (ABP) cycles
- Evaluate the bottoms-up planning of brand and channel initiatives for return/effectiveness and fit within the top-down ABP plan; Similarly own the prioritization of incremental initiatives throughout the year as funding circumstances change regularly
- Oversee monthly/quarterly performance management for the investment spending with visibility to Operating Unit leadership, assuring effectiveness/efficiency of spending during the year and re-calibrating allocations for course correction to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets
- Functionally oversee the performance reporting and insights for brand innovations (new/renewed products) and key marketing initiatives
- Own initiatives for integrated Coca-Cola system (TCCC + Bottler Franchisee) investment transparency and assessment, helping to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of investments across the system
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
- >12 years of experience in Finance (Commercial Finance experience preferred)
- Experience owning area of financial strategy and/or planning within a large-scale or multinational company
- Experience partnering with brand and/or marketing organizations, familiar with evaluation of marketing spending and shopper engagement
- Leadership and management experience, as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
- (Preferred) Experience within beverage industry or FMCG

- Influence various stakeholders including key functional leaders rooted in knowledge of financials
- Have insights into consumer needs and marketing solutions based on industry experience
- Be able to evaluate if invested solutions are effectively addressing business problems and impacting brand performance
- Work under situations of high ambiguity, leveraging experience and judgement to provide recommendations on identified or newly formulated options
- Take opportunities to be creative and push for higher standards with respect to the brand portfolio/strategy as well as own functional processes/capabilities
Communication/Team Focus - The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Leverage leadership skills to drive dialogue with cross-functional stakeholders, manage projects/initiatives, and influence others effectively
- Be able to respond to strong pushback and competing requests across multiple stakeholder teams, rooting decisions with eye to overall business priorities and performance
