We are seeking a Director, Health & Environmental Policy, Mexico to lead the development and execution of our public policy strategy across health, ingredients, and environmental sustainability agendas in Mexico. This role is pivotal in shaping a favorable regulatory environment, strengthening our license to operate, and advancing our commitments in areas such as public health and circular economy. The ideal candidate will bring deep government experience, strong policy expertise, and the ability to engage directly and credibly with senior authorities across all levels of government.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Lead Coca-Cola's health, ingredients, and environmental public policy agenda in Mexico, ensuring alignment with LATAM and global PACS strategies.
  • Shape and influence public policy development related to health, nutrition, ingredients, environmental regulation, and circular economy through proactive, credible, and transparent engagement.
  • Build and sustain senior-level relationships with key public-sector stakeholders, including Ministers, Secretaries, Directors, Senators, Deputies, advisors, and technical consultants, while also managing relationships with business associations, industry chambers, NGOs, and other third-sector stakeholders relevant to the Company's public affairs agenda.
  • Monitor, assess, and anticipate regulatory and legislative developments impacting the food & beverage and environmental landscape, translating insights into clear strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Legal, Regulatory, Sustainability, Operations, Franchise, Communications) to deliver integrated policy positions and aligned advocacy plans.
  • Represent the Company with industry associations, NGOs, and external coalitions to advance shared objectives in health and environmental sustainability.
  • Advise and enable senior leadership on policy risks, opportunities, and reputational considerations affecting business continuity and growth in Mexico.
  • Contribute to talent and capability building within PACS by modeling inclusive leadership, accountability, and enterprise thinking.
  • Own and execute the PACS (ABP) for the function or geography, including budget planning and disciplined OPEX/programs budget execution, ensuring alignment with business priorities, bottler initiatives, and system-wide objectives; provide senior leadership support during issues, risks, and crisis (IMCR) situations as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, International Relations, Public Health, or Environmental Studies preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience working directly with government, public policy, or regulatory affairs, ideally within health, environmental, or highly regulated sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and influence of public policies related to health, ingredients, food & beverage regulation, and/or circular economy.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexico's regulatory and governmental landscape, with proven ability to engage effectively with authorities at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Experience working with or within public institutions, industry associations, or regulated industries; multinational company experience is a plus.
  • Proven capability to manage complex stakeholder environments, build trust-based relationships, and navigate sensitive policy discussions.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex regulatory topics into clear business implications and leadership-ready insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the presence and credibility to represent the Company externally and influence without direct authority.
  • English proficiency required; Spanish fluency required for local engagement.
