Director, Franchise Operations - aRTD (North & Central (ASEAN))

Reporting to: VP & General Manager, aRTD - ASEAN & South Pacific Operating Unit

Focus, Scope, & Impact:

  • Ensures business results for the aRTD (alcohol ready-to-drink) category within the markets assigned, in alignment with the Organisational Unit (OU) and bottling & distribution partners.
  • Leads the implementation of Coca-Cola Company's vision for the aRTD category locally, with strong connections internally and externally, able to identify business opportunities and translate them into concrete actions with an agile and effective decision making.
  • Oversee business operations within these markets, supervising operations and identifying growth and improvement opportunities across the franchise including new opportunity mapping, strategic, operational, and commercial projects, in partnership with other parties including bottlers.
  • Forging strong and productive working relationships between the OU and external partners
  • Leading the system's transition to new operating model and ways of working within the assigned markets and act as a local figurehead and thought leader for the aRTD category locally

Detailed scope:

  • Responsible for achieving business growth, by shaping and implementing core capabilities and managing franchise leadership within the aRTD category and related channels
  • Leads localization of execution of all plans; monitors evolution of key indicators to achieve BP objectives (e.g. share, transaction, Revenues, volume); leads communication flow between bottlers, distributors and other parties concerning priorities, programs, address market issues and performance; executes strategies with bottling & 3rd partners; cooperates with bottlers/distribution partners to ensure local relevance and alignment with overall business; reviews and implements revenue growth opportunities/solutions, in executing the business plan.
  • In partnership with cross-functional teams, bottlers and partners, manage projects and lead the RTM, execution and commercialization of them from concept to launch; establishing business systems and procedures and KPIs
  • Develops processes and systems to increase sales effectiveness and maximize resource allocation. For example: design a segmentation model to leverage and develop operational capabilities to address local opportunities based on customized needs
  • Regarding new products this position has two main responsibilities: identify market insights, risks and opportunities and communicate them timely and effectively to marketing, commercial strategy and innovation functions to be considered as input for current innovation processes.
  • Lead Governance Model between Coke and Bottlers
  • Work with other franchise leads to aid prioritization of system resources and sales force focus, particularly within Southeast Asian markets

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • +10 years of relevant experience is required, ideally including experience in the alcohol industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of alcohol business model, solid RGM, channel, RTM, Sales, Marketing and Commercial Strategy Experience. Understanding of retail (HORECA, Modern, Traditional Channel).
  • Experience within the Coke System or FMCG in a franchise model or equivalent would be advantageous; where leading through influence plays a key role in the Industry
