Our Concentrate Plant in Buenos Aires (CABA) is a critical part of our global system, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This is a 100% on-site role, requiring daily presence at the plant.
We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory and quality-related operations, drive regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement. This role is part of the Quality and Technical job family and has a direct impact on product quality, operational performance, and cost efficiency.
What You'll Do for Us
As Laboratory Manager, you will develop, implement, and monitor laboratory, scientific, and quality systems that ensure product integrity and compliance with Company and regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead laboratory operations, including testing, scientific studies, and production support, ensuring compliance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure adherence to international standards such as ISO 17025, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, GLP, and food safety, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Execute operational plans for the laboratory area, setting direction for projects and guiding laboratory teams.
- Facilitate internal audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring readiness and effective follow-up.
- Coordinate sampling, analysis, release of materials and products, method validation and transfer, metrology, and quality data management using SAP.
- Monitor laboratory KPIs and quality metrics, using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
- Champion Operational Excellence initiatives aligned with CPS guidance and ensure their sustainability.
- Manage laboratory resources and operating budget, maintaining efficiency and cost control.
- Develop and coach laboratory associates through training, certification, and performance enablement routines.
- Identify and mitigate quality, food safety, environmental, and safety risks using structured problem-solving tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to quality and technical excellence within the plant.
What Are the Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in laboratory or quality operations within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of Integrated Management Systems and standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 18001).
- Knowledge of microbiology, sensory analysis, and Good Laboratory Practices.
