The team brings together editorial, production, creative, and technical professionals to support live, live-to-tape, and digital-first programming distributed across internal and external TD platforms.

Job Description

We are seeking a Video Production Specialist to provide hands-on operational and technical support for live and live-to-tape video productions. This role is delivery-focused and supports the reliable execution of productions across the full broadcast and streaming chain, from control room operations through to digital distribution.

The successful candidate will support live and pretaped studio and streaming environments, work closely with production staff and on-air talent in real-time, and operate within established workflows and technical standards to ensure accurate, high-quality on-air delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support live and live-to-tape productions across control room and streaming operations
  • Operate production systems including camera, audio, graphics, switching, and/or directing during live broadcasts
  • Provide real-time technical support to producers and on-air talent during live programming
  • Support live encodes, contribution feeds, and digital distribution platforms such as Brightcove
  • Ensure productions meet established broadcast and technical quality standards
  • Support post production, translation, dubbing, and broadcast workflows as required
  • Perform basic troubleshooting related to signal flow, connectivity, and live streaming workflows
  • Identify technical, connectivity, or performance issues and escalate according to established procedures

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting live broadcast, studio, or live streaming productions
  • Post-secondary education in Television Broadcasting, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable working across both traditional control room operations and digital delivery workflows
  • Experienced in hands-on live production, live streaming environments, editing, operating camera, audio, graphics, and switching systems (e.g. VizRT, Adobe Creative Cloud Products)
  • Able to follow defined technical standards, workflows, and escalation paths
  • Working knowledge of signal flow and basic network connectivity in live production environments
  • Familiarity with live streaming, encoding, and digital distribution platforms (e.g., Brightcove)
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing live production needs and schedules
  • A strong team player who collaborates effectively with production, technical, and editorial partners
  • Calm, detail-oriented, and reliable under the pressure of live broadcasts
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
