TD Securities' Energy & Power Investment Banking group is searching for a Vice President to join its growing team in Houston. We meet our clients' needs every day by providing them with sophisticated M&A advisory capabilities, in-depth knowledge of capital markets and precise execution capabilities.

Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Vice President's primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Develop transaction ideas and discuss in the appropriate context with senior coverage team members
• Driving qualitative and quantitative industry analysis for the purpose of Investment Banking transaction origination
• Liaise and/or interact with clients at all levels (CEO, CFO, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, etc.)
• Execute transactions in all product areas
• Demonstrate relevant market/industry/product knowledge
• Oversee complex financial and M&A modelling
• Generate client presentation and marketing materials
• Structure/deliver high impact presentations
• Maintain client relationship and keeps them informed as deals progress
• Keep more senior coverage officers informed as deals progress/issues arise
• Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank
• Direct, train and develop staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potential
• Maintain confidentiality of client information
Job Requirements
• 2+ years of direct experience in the energy sector in a similar or relevant function
• 3+ years of relevant work experience, ideally including as an Associate/Vice President in a Global Investment Banking firm
• Executing investment banking transactions across primary product groups (Mergers, Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance) for large-cap companies
• Extensive experience creating financial models for assets and companies, ideally including M&A analysis, drill-out models, MLP models and refining models
• Experience using valuation/analysis tools by data providers/consultants
• Experience drafting Offering memorandums, client presentations and other transaction and origination documents related to Investment Banking products and services
• Demonstrate a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
• Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills
• Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus

• Dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry
Education & Experience:
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
- Series 7, 79 and 63

- Demonstrates relevant market / industry / product knowledge

- Liaises with clients primarily at CEO and CFO level
- Executes on deals, generating or contributing to increases in revenue levels
- Directs, trains, and develops team members to enable them to meet challenges department objectives and achieve full potential
- Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank
- Maintains confidentiality of client information
- Accountable for providing expertise and support to senior coverage team members in execution of transactions and deal structure by providing expertise and knowledge of relevant markets/industries/products
- Develops recommendations/ideas for transactions and revenue generation, structures/delivers presentations, and manages deals/transactions as they progress/issues arise (escalating and keeping senior coverage officers informed as required)
- Liaises and maintains client relationships
- Acts as an experienced specialist for an assigned business or portfolio; role requires deep knowledge
