Breadth & Depth
- Handle routine auto claims with moderate risk using your skills and knowledge.
- Settle claims within your authority and get approval for larger ones.
- Follow clear guidelines and ask your manager for help when needed.
- Industry training is required; you report to a Team Manager.
Job Requirements
- Prioritize and manage your workload to meet service level agreements for both service and productivity. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all correspondence and information.
- Stay informed about industry practices, procedures, and emerging trends relevant to claims assessment and litigation.
- Protect organizational interests by identifying and managing risks, escalating non-standard or high-risk activities as necessary.
- Contribute to operational excellence and support timely, accurate completion of business processes.
- Ensure documentation accurately reflects client and business intentions, in compliance with rules and regulations.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and provide guidance and direction to others.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, complying with internal and industry codes of conduct.
What you will need to succeed
- College or University degree required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in claims or a related field.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations and provide clear, empathetic guidance.
- Proficiency with industry software, digital applications, and technology tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, teamwork, and process improvement.
