Global Operations and Business Services is a diverse and dynamic group of individuals, whose varied talents and experiences enable us to provide critical infrastructure services that support and/or control the trading, investment, and corporate banking functions of TD Securities. The Global Operations team partners with the front office and other groups globally to mitigate risk and deliver world class service to our global client base. They provide operational support and control functions across the trade lifecycle. The team is heavily involved in new product initiatives and process improvements to streamline our support model. They take great pride in ensuring controls are being continuously reviewed and updated while focusing on the customer at every point of contact.
The Fixed Operations team strives to create efficiency, improve client service levels and reduce operational risk.

Responsibilities:
- Support the MBS trading/sales desk directly
- Trace Monitoring, Fed Dollar Reporting
- Assisting the MBS trading desk with Agency Exchanges, Supers, and New Issue CMO process
- Creating BAM Sheets
- Providing MBS Repo Positions
- Ad Hoc MBS Trading Desk request
- RTTM (FICC), TBA Allocations, TBA Netting, Pool Netting and the Specified Pool Markets
- Client trade allocations, trade confirmations, new account requests along with the identification and resolution of day-to-day issues
- Resolving trade Dk's, fails, and open items
- Support MBS desk consisting of heavy interaction with customer accounts and facilitating the allocation of money manager sub-accounts for client type trading for cash and repo transaction
- The individual will be required to establish close working relationships with the Trading Desk, Sales Desk, Clearance, Technology, Credit, Legal & Compliance and Trade Accounting
- Ensure clarity and urgency in managing issues and queries
- Build strong relationships and work collaboratively within Global Operations and Business Services teams including settlements, new accounts, reference data and change delivery to support the growing Fixed Income business
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience with MBS trade support and MBS product knowledge
- Experience with Mortgage-Backed Securities a must
- Experience and Knowledge of Broadridge MBSE and TBA allocations helpful
- Team player, collaborate with others teams, encourages other team members to participate and acknowledges the contributions of others.
- Able to work in a fast pace, deadline sensitive environment and possess good communication skills
- A self-starter who is comfortable in a complex role that interfaces regularly with clients, front office, technology, finance, and trade support teams
- A mindset of critical thinking, risk management and understanding the needs of TDS's clients and internal business partners
- Strong judgement and problem solving - Thinks ahead, anticipates questions, finds alternative solutions and identifies clear objectives
- Confident with strong communication skills and an ability to articulate complex issues in a concise manner
- Knowledge of Broadridge Impact/NAPE systems
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus
- SIE and/or Series 7, 63 a plus.

The Operations Analyst TDS provides back up for the Canadian Fixed Income Desk. This individual handles corporate actions, daily cash reconciliation, tracking file uploads into FIST, and is a DTC clearance specialist. Responsibilities include the clearance of London trading activity passing through US broker/dealers. The Operations Analyst TDS advises agent of ticket control numbers for confirmations and performs required system maintenance. In addition, the position maintains compliance files and verifies new clients are set up on FIST, acknowledging that settlement and other client instructions are complete.
Depth & Scope
- Participates in the identification, development and implementation of new products, operating workflow, additional services/applications or operational efficiencies for Global Business Services
- Identifies documents, investigates and resolves service delivery issues
- Manages relationships with the client, and other areas of TDS / GBS
- Participates in projects follows project management methodologies, communicates project status and provides timely escalation of issues to senior management to ensure project objectives are met
- Interfaces with regulators, external groups (legal firms, accountants etc.), suppliers on operating and service delivery issues relative to the specific area of functional expertise as authorized by the manager
- Escalates non-standard or high risk transactions or other activities as appropriate
- Acquires and applies knowledge in the discipline, provides assistance and direction to others in TD Securities
- Identifies, recommends and effectively executes standard practices applicable to the discipline
- Protects the interests of the firm identify and manage risks
- Completes business process reviews as required
- Participates fully as a member of the team, promotes team effectiveness and contributes to a positive work environment
- Supports the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
- Participates in performance management and development activities
- Supports change management activities around projects or initiatives undertaken ensures clear communication of new processes
- Ensures the timely communication of issues that are relevant to the team and encourages a good working relationship with other departments
- Supports the business with consistent application of BSA/AML risk escalation, review and approval processes, KYC due diligence and policies
- Contributes to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of programs, processes, policies and tools to meet BSA/AML requirements and industry best practices
- Continuously develops/maintains solid knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC requirements, developments and issues within the Operations department
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
- 3+ years related experience
- Must possess a complete understanding of the products traded by TD Securities (USA) Inc.
- Must also understand systems interfaces, payment and funding processes, compensation rules, and NASD/SEC issues
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, establish priorities, and possess strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Solid computer skills are a must
