Job Description:

Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to the full duration of the internship (May to December 2026) and are authorised to work without visa sponsorship.

Internship Program

This internship is with the Global Markets Credit (GMC) team within the Wholesale Banking division of TD Securities. The GMC team partners closely with Sales & Trading and Corporate Investment Banking to implement and ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies, with a primary focus on managing credit exposure arising from trading activities.

  • Derivative and other trading products within wholesale banking
  • Counterparty credit analysis, including qualitative and quantitative fundamentals
  • Legal documentation supporting trading activities
  • Credit exposure management for major financial institutions across key Asia-Pacific markets
  • Market practice as well as regulatory requirements in these major countries
  • Credit risk reporting and monitoring
  • Investment portfolio credit management

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • A strong interest in global financial markets and the ability to learn quickly
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner
  • A proactive learning mindset and sound business judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

Requirements

  • Preferably Year 2 and Year 3 Undergraduates
  • Availability to commit to a full time internship from May to December 2026
