Job Description:

The Small Business Client Associate engages small business customers in conversations to understand and meet their current Business Account opening, Term and Trust Products and Signing officer Changes needs and ensures customer problems as it relate to Business Account Openings and Business signing Officer changes are handled appropriately the first time.

Depth & Scope:

  • Manages micro-businesses, provides oversight, and supports targeted outreach
  • Oversees deposit-only relationships with deposits currently unassigned
  • Approves KYC profiles at onboarding, after Event Driven Reviews, and Periodic Reviews for high-risk customers, business senior
  • Management must approve KYC profiles at onboarding and Periodic Reviews
  • Maintains customer KYC profiles and re-evaluates risk at the time of Event Driven Reviews and Periodic Reviews and make Consequence Management decisions
  • Protects the interests of the organization- identifying and managing risks, and escalates non-standard, high-risk transactions
  • Actively calls SB clients assigned and meets to deepen relationship, manages customer service issues, and identifies product needs
  • Actively generates sales and referrals to all business partners in the bank to help meet the comprehensive financial needs of Small Business, including: SBB, BB, Merchant, Commercial, Treasury Management, Credit Card, Retail (B@W, Money Out, Money In) and Wealth
  • Develops Small Business product expertise to properly vet potential products fit for our customer base
  • Provide clients with trusted advice and exceptional services
  • Proactive calls to offer tailored products and services to clients, guided by data-driven recommendations and identified business needs
  • Contributes towards the achievement of SB sales and business development
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices
  • Integrity when managing sensitive customer information in alignment with regulatory and compliance guidelines related to servicing and sales practices

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years of calling and customer support related experience at a Small Business level
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed marketing goals
  • Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information in a concise and logical way
  • A self-initiator with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
