Department Overview
Non-Functional Testing team within Application Release Management (ARM) is comprised of talented resources that are accountable for PAT Test planning, PAT Test automation and PAT Test execution. As a member of the Non-Functional Testing team for Distributed systems, you will be primarily responsible for the planning and non-functional testing for SDSID-CPET (AKA: DCTS) business applications and related technologies on project-by-project basis.

Job Description:
- Create non-functional test plans for application on-premises, Azure and VMC2 technologies on project-by-project basis
- Execute test plan scenarios using scripts if available
- Conducts non-functional testing including operability, failover and negative
- Provides application support for performance, functional and security testing
- Triage issues/failures
- Creates reports of test procedures, defects observed, & test result metrics
- Identifies continuous improvement opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Possess excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

- Be proficient in JIRA/Confluence
- Flexible and able to adapt to change easily
- Have a good understanding of large complex technology Infrastructures
- Strong knowledge of TD infrastructure technology and processes.
- Experience with TD Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) would also be an asset.
- Support Lean approach of metrics, visual status boards, performance dialogues, continuous improvement process
- Understanding of Service Now, WebSphere, Microsoft IIS, Unix/AIX, Network (Load-balancing/F5, Windows server cluster and Cloud technologies (Azure, VMC2, JBoss, NodeJS) would be an asset but not a requirement. JTMF (JIRA Test Management Framework) Version 2.
Additional Information:
- A bachelor's or college degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or Computer Science CSTE/CMST certification, or 5 + years' experience in related Information technology field
CUSTOMER:
• Lead test team in the delivery of test planning, test preparation and test execution activities in adherence to standards for system testing
• Responsible for all phases of testing for assigned projects or releases including (but not limited to) system integration testing, business acceptance testing, performance testing, operability testing, and deployment verification testing
• Manage creation, review and sign-off of testing documentation (e.g. test strategies, plans, schedule, cost estimates, test cases, dashboards, defect logs, test phase closure reports) for assigned area / projects and ensure all test artifacts adhere to testing standards and audit requirements
• Co-ordinate necessary and assigned testing resources to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met
• May analyze, develop, debug, execute and maintain complex manual/automated test cases within the testing environment
• Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled
• Lead team in using test tools, defect tracking tools as per standards
• Ensure testing is conducted in a manner that does not impact the production environment (e.g. scheduling of file transmissions, etc.) and in accordance with established information security and information privacy policies and guidelines
• Chair the daily defect / status calls to ensure defects are documented and tracked and defect fixes are retested in timely manner and report the status of test planning, test execution and defects via. daily dashboard reporting to project team using standard test quality metrics
• Act as a consultant / resource to other areas of IT and the Business
• Lead relationships with project team members, offshore teams, third party vendors/ service partners, release teams and client areas as appropriate
• Build / maintain new or existing test environments; monitoring, trouble shooting, triaging issues and coordinating resolution with all technology partners. Co-ordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades and project testing across numerous environments on various technology platforms.

• Promote and develop awareness of testing methodologies and standards
• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends
