The Senior Project Manager (Project Lead) is a senior execution leadership role within the Product Readiness & Rollout (PRR) team, responsible for driving the disciplined delivery of complex, high-risk Transaction Banking and Treasury Management product launches. This role serves as the primary execution authority for assigned initiatives, translating readiness requirements and governance decisions into actionable delivery plans.

Operating in a highly regulated financial services environment, this role requires deep delivery expertise, strong judgment, deep program management expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional dependencies across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams.

Role Positioning Statement

This role is intentionally designed as a senior execution leadership position, aligned to VP level Program Delivery Manager and Implementation Lead roles at peer banks. It is not a PMO or task-bases project role; it owns execution accountability, dependency management, and delivery outcomes for high-risk Transaction Banking launches.

Key Responsibilities

Execution Leadership

  • Convert approved readiness checklists and governance requirements into detailed, executable project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and RAID logs.
  • Serve as the end-to-end execution lead for complex, high-risk product launches, migrations, or platform enhancements.
  • Drive disciplined delivery; hold accountability for execution outcomes and delivery risk across assigned launches while maintaining alignment to PR&R readiness standards and timelines.
  • Lead delivery execution across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product partners to ensure all execution dependencies are identified, sequenced, and cleared. Proactively identify execution risks, delivery constraints, or dependency conflicts and drive timely resolution.
  • Escalate execution risks with clear impact assessments and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive-level delivery reporting, including progress, risks, critical path items, and launch readiness indicators. Support PR&R leadership and readiness forums with concise, concise decision-oriented delivery insights.
  • Ensure leadership has clear visibility into execution readiness prior to go/no-go decisioning.
  • Ensure all execution prerequisites are satisfied prior to launch authorization.
  • Support cutover planning, launch coordination, and immediate post-launch stabilization as required.
  • Partner closely with the Readiness Program Manager to ensure alignment between governance readiness and execution delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience delivering complex initiatives in regulated financial services environments.
  • Strong command of execution discipline, dependency management, and risk mitigation.of governance frameworks, stage-gate processes, and executive reporting.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Transaction Banking, Treasury Management, Payments, or Cash Management strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting product launches, client migrations, platform implementations, or regulatory-driven initiatives.
  • Proven partnership with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong execution leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans.
  • Clear, confident communicator experienced in executive-ready reporting.

Success Measures

  • ≥ 95% of assigned launches delivered on time and within approved scope.
  • Execution risks identified and mitigated with minimal last-minute escalation.
  • Zero major launch issues are attributed to execution gaps.
  • Positive feedback from PRR leadership and partners on delivery discipline and execution quality.
