Job Description / Accountabilities:
Reporting to the AVP, Enterprise Capital Management, the Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting TD's enterprise capital management mandate, including capital analysis, reporting, forecasting and performance insights. The role will help strengthen the Bank's ability to understand capital requirements, assess capital deployment, evaluate return outcomes, and support disciplined balance sheet usage across businesses and legal entities.

The Senior Manager will work closely with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, business segments and other enterprise partners to deliver high-quality analysis and insights for senior management, governance committees, regulators, and the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead or support enterprise capital analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities, including analysis of risk-based capital and leverage ratios.
  • Prepare and enhance recurring capital reporting and senior management materials, including quarter-end capital updates, capital performance dashboards, governance materials, regulatory requests, and ad hoc executive analysis.
  • Support the development and ongoing enhancement of capital performance analytics used to assess capital deployment and return outcomes.
  • Support capital forecasting and planning processes by analyzing business, regulatory, methodology, and balance sheet drivers of capital requirements and capital ratios.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of capital allocation methodologies, allocated capital processes, and related reporting, including process improvements, data quality, controls, and governance.
  • Assess the capital and return implications of business strategies, new products, transactions, structures, and other strategic initiatives, providing insights to support business design and decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk, business segments, and other enterprise teams to promote consistent understanding of capital requirements, capital allocation, forecasting assumptions, and performance implications.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready presentations and analysis for Senior Management, Executives, governance committees, regulators, and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory capital frameworks, financial markets, banking products, business strategies, and capital management practices to support informed capital decisions.

Department Overview

The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the management of TD's consolidated non-trading market risk, funds transfer pricing measurement framework, funding strategies and liquidity risk, and capital position.

Enterprise Capital Management (ECM), within TBSM, is responsible for managing the bank's capital adequacy and efficiency including the interpretation and application of regulatory capital requirements and capital optimization initiatives; capital allocation methodology; oversight on subsidiary capital management; coordinating regulatory advocacy; developing and reporting on the banks internal capital adequacy assessment process; supporting the analysis of corporate development opportunities; and forecasting and analyzing TDBG's consolidated regulatory capital requirements

Job Requirements

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
Knowledge or experience in the following areas is considered necessary:

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Capital Management, Treasury, or Risk management within a financial institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess capital drivers, business performance, forecasting assumptions, regulatory impacts, and trade-offs across financial, strategic, and operational dimensions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level analysis, dashboards, reporting packages, or governance materials that support senior management decision-making.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, business segments, and senior management.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, or senior internal governance bodies on complex matters.
  • Strong digital and analytical literacy, including the ability to work effectively with modern analytical tools, automation and AI-enabled insights to support reporting, forecasting, governance, and decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex capital, regulatory, and financial topics into clear, concise, executive-ready messaging.
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage recurring deliverables and ad hoc requests under tight timelines.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry. Previous capital management experience is considered an asset.
  • Professional accounting, finance, CFA, CPA, MBA, FRM, or similar designation considered an asset.
