Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Manager to support and advise areas of the Private Wealth Management Business, in particular Investment Management, Private Banking, High Net Worth Strategy and Specialized Services. In that role, the Senior Manager will act as the senior leader, ensuring themselves and their team support the PWM team with insights and measurement while also influencing their strategy with insights and innovative analytics techniques.
The ideal candidate has experience (or has the skills to):
- Creating strong partnership with and influencing business partners.
- Prioritizing and assigning work to colleagues and ensuring smooth delivery through coaching, support and escalations
- Driving the adoption of new analytics techniques to support the business strategy, such as AI and automation.
- Finding and creating synergies through foundational assets that can be used for multiple use cases.
- Creating a safe work environment where colleagues feel valued and work as a team.
- Previous experience in Wealth and/or in Analytics, specifically leading a team, is a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Advisory and Prioritization: Act as the single point of contact for new requests from the Business Controls Team, filters intakes and clarifies the analytics needs. Makes recommendations on path forward and assigns the work to analysts. Makes recommendations and influences the business on how analytics can be leveraged to advance the PWM Strategy. Ensure synergies are created and assets utilized for more than one use case.
- Reporting: Ensures dashboards and reports are produced on time and are aligned with business needs. Provides advisory for new reporting needs and liaise with the Performance Ecosystem and Transformation SM and her team.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Lead the team to perform analysis and ad hoc asks to support the business with their needs and strategy.
- Artificial Intelligence and Automation: Acts as an advisor to evolve processes, tools and techniques to drive better outcomes.
- Collaboration: Liaises with partners and colleagues within Wealth and other LOBs to ensure consistency and create synergies.
- Governance: ensure strong governance for all the work carried out by AI2 for Business Controls.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or
- 5+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.
- People management experience an asset.
