DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.

Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. Data Risk Management (DRM)

DRM defines expectations for and provides challenge of data management, governance, and risk mitigation activities in support of TD's data strategy. This means supporting those who produce, manage and/or use data in managing data risk and in so doing helping to protect our customers and the Bank.

The Regulatory Reliance team within DRM works to ensure that our area and key stakeholders are aware of regulatory changes and industry trends pertaining to data, and that we do the work required to be compliant/aligned. The team is also working to map out how different areas come together to mitigate data-related risk at TD.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within the Regulatory Reliance area within DRM. The intern will help the team in scanning the regulatory and industry landscape, identifying relevant developments and help inform the team and key stakeholders of these developments. The intern will also assist in activities under the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, such as applicability and gap assessments of new regulations, documentation, tracking of milestones and deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We welcome candidates with a variety of skills and backgrounds. If you have some of the following skills/experience, we encourage you to apply:

  • Ability to communicate clearly (both written and verbal), providing simplified summaries of complex topics to a diverse audience.


  • Ability to analyze and think critically about the implications of new developments, such as data risk implications of emerging technologies.


  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize based on risk/impact throughout work efforts.


  • An understanding of risks involved in the production, management and use of data. Knowledge of data-related regulations is an asset.


  • Attention to detail with the aptitude to identify areas of improvement and assess impacts.


  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


  • Candidate currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field.


  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 4 - August 21, 2026.
