DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.
Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Communications and Colleague Engagement Co-op Student provides essential support to the Communications and Employee Engagement team, contributing to effective internal communications, project coordination, and the success of engagement initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in an energetic and collaborative environment, fostering both professional development and a positive workplace culture. Key responsibilities include:
- Internal Communications: Draft, edit, and distribute communications for organizational initiatives, ensuring messages are timely, accurate, and aligned with company objectives.
- Project and Event Support: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing key programs such as the "Making an Impact" / "IMPACT" Leadership Conference and Employee Appreciation Week. Duties include preparing executive briefs, coordinating logistics, supporting event delivery, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- DEI Communications: Contribute to the production of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion newsletter by gathering content, editing, formatting, and coordinating distribution. Support DEI-related event communications and program updates.

- Resource Development: Establish and maintain a repository for Risk Management key strategic messages and assist in revamping the Risk Management intranet page, including creating strategy materials and job aids.
- Survey Coordination: Help deploy employee feedback surveys, analyze responses, and summarize trends for leadership reporting.
- Career Development Support: Partner with HR and Learning & Development to coordinate and promote career development workshops, creating communication plans to enhance participation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, business partners, and stakeholders to gather information, share feedback, and ensure communication initiatives meet organizational needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance communications processes and engagement activities, making recommendations for improvements.
- Professionalism and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining professionalism and upholding company standards.
This role enables the Co-op Student to make a tangible impact on the organization's internal communications and engagement efforts, while gaining valuable experience in communications strategy, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to draft, edit, and format clear and engaging communications.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven experience working effectively with team members, business partners, and stakeholders, including external vendors and various departments.
- Project Coordination and Organization: Skill in managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy and timeliness in all communications and project deliverables.
- Adaptability and Continuous Improvement Mindset: Willingness to learn, adapt to new processes, and proactively suggest enhancements to communication and engagement activities.
- Professionalism and Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and uphold organizational standards of conduct.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in gathering input from diverse groups, aligning messaging with organizational objectives, and ensuring materials are relevant and impactful.
- Analytical and Survey Skills: Competence in assisting with survey deployment, analyzing feedback, and summarizing trends for leadership reporting.
- Initiative and Independent Work: Capability to take ownership of projects, lead or co-lead initiatives, and present findings or suggestions for improvement.
- Learning Agility and Professional Development: Demonstrated interest in developing communication strategy, project management, and career enablement skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.

- This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 4th - August 21st 2026.
