Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance Data Strategy & Data Management, this role will shape the data consumption strategy for Enterprise Finance (Excluding Treasury) .
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to work in a fast paced and high impact driving considerable change and Competitive Advantage for TD with data.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER
- Accountable for prioritizing finance requirements for building sustainable finance data assets to drive real finance outcomes with reconciled & trusted data.
- Investigate new opportunities within Finance to create and develop more effective methodologies and processes for collecting, analyzing and presenting data.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize new data and metrics that enhance financial reporting and insight. Drive alignment on key KPIs influencing financial outcomes and ensure data consistency and integrity across Finance.
- Ability to translate Finance priorities for data delivery partners (internal and external) by ramping-up subject matter expertise on banking P&L acumen & management reporting processes.
- Lead a finance forum including the partners from segment finance, finance platform, finance data & finance Analytics, Insights, and Artificial intelligence for cross-pollination of ideas for report rationalization, re-solutioning & automation.
- Own the backlog of improvement opportunities for the segment finance.
SHAREHOLDER
- Ensure compliance with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines
- Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders and business management where required
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a finance subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Proficiency in building financial models to project revenue, expenses, cash flow and profitability scenarios (driver-based).
- 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis & Interpretation: Understanding how financial metrics connect to banking products & operations, combined with the ability to communicate KPIs to both finance & non-finance (Data partners) stakeholders.
- 5+ years of KPI Delivery in Modern Technology Stack: Expertise in coordinating with stakeholders in defining KPIs & their underlying drivers & orchestrating delivery with data partners leveraging modern technology platforms such as cloud-based data technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud etc.) & automation frameworks that enable real-time financial reporting & self-serve analytics.
