Job Description:
TD Securities Financial Regulatory Technology team is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to work with a team implementing solutions in alignment with the firm's technology strategy. The team is responsible for providing technology solutions for TD's reporting obligations to the Central Bank of Ireland and the European Banking Authority.
Position Overview
The candidate will work on projects related to the implementation and delivery of strategic financial reporting initiatives. This critical function ensures accurate reporting of trades to various regulatory jurisdictions (such EU, Singapore, Canada and the USA) involving complex financial calculations.
The candidate will work extensively with a team of developers building these systems and QA teams testing these systems to ensure delivery of our solutions to business stakeholders. The candidate will also ensure the application meets all the business needs and meets all obligatory regulatory and audit requirements such as data security, application security, user and access management.
We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst, with a proven track record of data analysis, working with business stakeholders and requirements specification. The candidate must have detailed knowledge of investment banking products. The candidate must be pro-active and self-driven, with great communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand regulatory and business requirements. Work with the development team to define technology solutions and understand how they can be implemented in a strategic and efficient way. Create technical business specifications to bridge the gap between development and business stakeholders.
- Work with development team to build ETL solutions for regulatory data requirements. Analyse regulatory data requirements, identify data sources within internal and external data platforms, perform data profiling to identify missing data elements and perform data reconciliation to ensure data is available for all use cases.
- Understand and work with various data sources in the bank to identify suitable data to meet reporting requirements using various tools and technologies such as REST APIs, JSON, Postman, SQL, NoSQL/MongoDB, Excel, Dremio, Juypter Notebooks, Python
- Help prioritise incoming business and technical requirements and refine them into work items for the team.
- Ensure applications meet all relevant regulatory and audit requirements.
- Proactively manage issues from discovery to resolution.

Requirements / Qualifications
- 4+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
- 2+ years hands-on experience in data profiling and defining data models of financial instruments using tools such as Excel, Juypter Notebooks, Alteryx, Tableau or similar.
- 2+ years experience in financial services and capital markets. Strong understanding of financial instruments.
- 2+ years technical proficiency in handling data formats (e.g. JSON, XML, CSV) and API connectivity using REST APIs and JSON using tools such as Postman or similar.
- 2+ years experience with SQL and/or NoSQL.
- Pro-active with excellent communication skills. Highly organized with strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence (or similar tools) to manage project scope, progress and deliverables.
