Job Description:

The Business Banking Operations plays a critical role in supporting our client facing business lines and internal partners across a multitude of operational functions across Business Banking. We are focused on achieving the Business Banking "Quest" by seeking ways to deliver value faster, modernize our operations and enhance the colleague experience. The Business Banking Data Strategy Enablement (DSE) team sits within the Business Banking Operations team and is focused on ensuring there is a comprehensive data management strategy that provides an end-to-end view of the data managed and leveraged by Business Banking to inform business decisions, customer interactions and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Banking Data Strategy Enablement (DSE), the Business Data Management Analyst II will partner with Business Bankers to champion data management standards and capabilities. They will be responsible for ensuring Business Banking data is managed in accordance with the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Standard from EDMO.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Partners with DSE engagement leads and Business Bankers to contribute data management requirements and deliverables
  • Support the build of capabilities to simplify data management remediation tasks, in concert with other business banking 1As and 1Bs
  • Participate in the remediation of Data Retention & Disposition (DRD), Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Business Data Elements (BDEs), Data Concern Management (DCM) and the other data management capabilities
  • Work with business partners and application owners to complete data lineage, data mapping, data profiling, metadata documentation and defining data quality rules for identified CDEs and BDEs
  • Contribute to the build, education and change management of business bankers using our Business Banking DSE Playbook on TD central
  • Work with a cross functional team to deliver data management related activities using minimal viable products (MVPs) to derive value faster
  • Deliver against the CBB Data Management strategy, roadmap, processes and procedures in concert with business bankers across journeys, non-journeys and platforms
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement nature of the Business Banking Data Strategy Enablement team through timely feedback, knowledge sharing and collaborating with other team members
  • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce

Job requirements:

  • A combination of Knowledge and Experience with enterprise data management requirements
  • Experience partnering with business owners to provide guidance, education and drive change management on the enterprise data management standards
  • Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to understand data implications of key decisions on business processes and in support of Our Quest
  • Knowledge of the Business Bank and its data assets is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of source (platform), derived and consumption data models is considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile, Lean, Jira and Confluence tools is considered an asset
  • Hands-on experience working with SQL language to carry-on daily data profiling and data quality is considered an asset
  • Hand-on experience working with the Microsoft Suite like MS Visio and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience using PowerApps and Power Automate is considered an asset
  • Excellent relationship management skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong organizational awareness;
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized to manage large amounts of information and details
  • Superior negotiation and creative problem-solving skills

Hours:

Monday-Friday, standard business hours. Hybrid working mode for Business Banking requires 4 out of 5 days in the Downtown Toronto office.
