Job Description:

As a Senior Analyst on the Card Operation and Project Support team within Canadian Credit Cards and Personal Lending, your primary responsibility will be to liaise with business partners to conduct effective discussions on process requirements, design, and priority to ensure timely and accurate project support. You will also play a key role in supporting various business units with data analysis to support strategic initiatives and business operations. You will have exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of initiatives in support of overall business/function strategy.

Department Overview:

Canadian Credit Cards is the largest dual issuer of Visa and MasterCard Products and holds the position of #1 market share in Canada. TD Consumer and Business credit cards are distributed nationally, leveraging our retail network direct responses and key co-brand partnerships including Aeroplan, Amazon and Air Canada.

The Card Operations and Project Support team provides high quality account level data to assist with business operations, fulfilment support, and decisions related to strategic initiatives within the Canadian Credit Cards business (TD & MBNA).

Data Support: Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on data and business requirements to ensure the desired objectives for projects are achieved. Support Product Owners by providing account level data based on requirements to support new projects scoping, implementation, and process verification. Provide treadmill reporting to support operations processing.

Fulfillment Support: Provide guidance to business partners to finalize criteria and design most efficient fulfilment methods. Provide support for account updates via standard batch interface and other supported methods.

Job Requirements:

As a Senior Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Card Operations and Project Support team, the primary accountabilities of the role are:

  • Work in a consultative role to provide "value-added" insights in the form of analysis, interpretation, and advice for campaign fulfilment process
  • Provide consultation for Business partners regarding complex data requirements and design solutions for data retrieval to best meet the needs of the business in an effective manner
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within business unit and ability to effectively utilize these data sources for reporting purposes
  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and conduct secondary reviews
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, participate/assist in departmental committees providing insight and recommendations, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Willingness to broaden and increase knowledge of new reporting tools and systems

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python and Cloud computing programming
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with TD Credit Card, MBNA Credit Card, Personal Lending and/or other line of business data
  • Ability to work and research data requests independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues
  • Superior time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities within aggressive timelines
  • Ability to quickly understand, acquire and apply new technical skills and apply those understandings to diverse requirements and cross-relational problems and solutions
  • Innovative, results oriented and conceptual thinker
  • Observed leadership abilities and desire to assume responsibility for deliverables
  • Flexibility to adapt and manage within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with peers, internal and external business partners

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of TSYS TS2 and CIF is an asset
  • Experience with the Mainframe environment is an asset
  • Experience with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (CAEDW) is an asset
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Access is an asset
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an asset

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:

  • University Degree or College Diploma, with specialty in computer sciences, computer programming, mathematics, engineering, or related field would be considered an asset
