Role description: 

You will join the Strategic Planning and Operations team, a transversal team of five people, and more specifically our Technical Communication team. This is your opportunity to gain experience in technical writing across a range of subjects and products, including messaging apps (WhatsApp, WeChat, Line), end-to-end encrypted communication, and cloud-native trader voice systems. Through cross-team collaboration and business analysis, you will learn how to align documentation with business goals.

Writer/Communication Intern and dive into exciting projects that will hone your skills and boost your portfolio!

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Competitive Analysis: Become a documentation detective! Analyze our user resources and compare them with the competition to identify opportunities for improvement. Explore the latest documentation platforms and tools. Research and recommend cost-effective solutions to optimize our content creation and publishing workflows.
  • Internal Knowledge Champion: Transform existing Confluence content into a user-friendly guide for an internal tool, collaborating directly with developers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Documentation Architect: Design clear architecture diagrams and create documentation for an evolving product, working closely with product managers to capture the latest features and functionalities.
  • Visual Storyteller: Collaborate with graphic designers and product teams to craft visually appealing and informative documentation, including "what's new" and starter guides that captivate users.
  • Video Content Innovator: Research and implement a cost-effective process for creating engaging educational videos using tools like PowerPoint, Google Meet, Canva, Figma, and even AI scriptwriting tools like Gemini. Produce a series of videos in collaboration with product teams.
  • Usability Tester: Assist with usability testing of technical documentation to identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from clients and conduct surveys.

 

Qualifications:

  • Writing and editing skills (ability to write clear, concise, and structured content); experience in writing technical documentation is welcome.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information.
  • Communication and collaboration skills.
  • Pursuing a master’s degree (1st or 2nd year) in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in technology, technical communication, and process improvement.
