The Senior Manager, Consumer Connections, MAKER'S MARK is responsible for developing and executing strategies to fuel consumer discovery, engagement, and drive brand loyalty for our US MAKER'S MARK category. This role involves leading teams to create integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging data and insights to optimize consumer touchpoints, and ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all channels.

Role Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development of comprehensive consumer connection strategies for
    MAKER'S MARK and BASIL HAYDEN, ensuring alignment with Suntory Global
    Spirits' strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the primary authority across paid, owned, and earned channels, acting
    as the main liaison supporting the US Brand as a thought leader partner and
    collaborating with internal cross-functional teams.
Integrated Campaign Development:
  • Design and execute integrated, multi-channel initiatives across various paid,
    owned, and earned touchpoints, including paid media, social media, influencer
    partnerships, web, CRM, and digital activations.
  • Oversee the development of social and digital assets to support campaign
    initiatives.
  • Drive the formulation and enhancement of strategic consumer journeys, digital
    product innovations, and marketing data segmentation.
  • Establish new KPIs to measure the success of initiatives.
Paid Media Management:
  • Direct the strategic oversight, planning, and performance management of paid
    media campaigns, ensuring brand objectives are met and ROI is maximized
    through continuous optimization and data-driven insights.
Digital Advancement:
  • Oversee the US brand advancement within digital acceleration initiatives,
    translating vision into actionable plans and delivering measurable progress

through digital maturity analysis. Performance Management:
  • Lead the monitoring and maintenance of performance dashboards and digital
    reporting to swiftly track trends against media and digital KPIs, ensuring agile
    responsiveness to performance metrics.
Agency and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with media and digital agencies to strategize and
    execute impactful consumer campaigns in the US market.
  • Champion collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales,
    product development, legal, and customer service to foster cohesive strategy
    execution.
Industry Insight and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to continuously elevate and refine consumer engagement strategies.
Qualifications

Education and Professional Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing and paid media, with a strongemphasis on brand and agency roles.
  • At least 3 years in a lead digital performance position, spanning across various
    channels including Video, Programmatic, Social, eCommerce, and digital owned
    and operated platforms (Web, Social/Influencer, CRM).
Digital & Paid Media Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines,
    encompassing audience identification and analysis, targeting, experience design,
    online analytics, and digital production
  • Familiarity with broader media strategy, encompassing touchpoint mix,
    prioritization, and buying efficiency.
  • Proven experience in driving audience-based initiatives and leveraging consumer
    data platforms to develop omnichannel strategies that enhance performance
    marketing and online customer acquisition.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital tools such as Google and Meta marketing platforms
    and familiarity with media measurement and verification partners (e.g.,DoubleVerify, IRI, Market Mix Modeling).
Key Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong ability to analyze and optimize campaign performance, with a deep
    understanding of key digital marketing metrics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at setting deadlines,tracking progress, and managing expectations across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for daily operations.
  • Proven track record of leading with influence in a matrixed environment,
    effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business impact.
  • Self-starter with a passion for challenging the status quo and a curiosity for
    consumer trends, demonstrating the ability to stay ahead of industry
    developments and implement innovative consumer engagement strategies.
  • Experience in leading direct reports, focusing on performance coaching and
    career development, with strong relationship-building skills to engage effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Chicago is $140,000 to $155,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate's location, experience, and skillset.
