This role supports Suntory Global Spirits (SGS) Co-Manufacturers (Co-Mans), Partner sites and 3PLs to ensure SGS Food Safety and Quality standards are met across all products in North America (NA). This role manages all Quality Assurance activities in the NA region, including site visits and assessments at co-manufacturers and partner sites where required. This role helps ensure that we build the best quality products with excellence from seed to sip.
Role Responsibilities
• Management of all Quality Assurance activities related to SGS Co-Manufacturers and Partner sites, primarily in North America
• Primary contact within SGS for Co-Manufacturing Quality in North America
• Manage confidential information related to global M&A and R&D projects.

• Supports, monitors, and assesses systems to maintain SGS food safety and quality standards within Co-Manufacturing plants. Acts as a Quality lead, working cross-functionally to drive performance of the quality system.
• Supports Co-Manufacturer quality system through site qualification, audits, documentation review, and KPI management.
• Primary contact for product quality holds and raw material / finished case rework at Co-Manufacturers.
• Supports commissioning, qualification and validation of new manufacturing equipment, inspection systems, products, ingredients, and packaging materials across sites.
• Coordinates quality/food safety control plan activities through startup and verification stages as needed.
• Works directly with site-level teams across all functions in the application of quality assurance / control programs and problem-solving methodologies, ensuring standardization of procedures and full compliance with global standards.
• Investigates customer complaints as needed with Co-Manufacturer(s).
• Manages consumer and distributor complaints assigned to Global Quality within Salesforce system.
• Develops Key Performance Indicators for quality across Co-Manufacturing sites.
• Reports performance of Co-Man quality monthly to quality leadership and NASC teams
• Works collaboratively with key stakeholders in the business to address all quality concerns within sites or in the field.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Five years' experience in food/beverage manufacturing quality setting.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO 22000 food safety management systems including HACCP.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of technical skills including understanding of a broad set quality engineering skill:
o Automated Inspection systems
o Analytical laboratory equipment
o Statistical process control
o Formal risk assessment
o Process capability
• Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated internal auditing skills. Certified ISO auditor is desired.
• Must be able to travel. This includes:
o BSI Suppliers in North America, Europe and Asia (primarily NA)
o BSI Co-mans in North America, Europe and Asia (primarily NA)
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus.
