What makes this a great opportunity?

This position provides an opportunity for an established, commercially oriented finance professional to play a key role in the continued growth of Suntory Global Spirits' Scotch & Irish portfolio. Based in Madrid, reporting to the Finance Director, this position will work with our Global Finance teams and partner closely with both Brand House Marketing & the Operating Unit.

The role is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, drive process improvements, and can be a stepping-stone to future opportunities across the organization. Key responsibilities include providing exemplary finance business support and business partnering to the Scotch & Irish team as they set their brands' strategic agenda and develop value-generating financial plans.

Role Responsibilities

In a fast moving, dynamic and complex consumer industry, this role is exciting and challenging. It allows for a large degree of exposure to senior leadership as well as a dynamic workload. This position allows an individual to drive impact, as Suntory Global Spirits exemplifies an entrepreneurial spirit that an individual can take ownership of in this role. A few highlights include:

  • Partner with the Scotch & Irish Brand House team to develop long term strategic plans, providing the lens of sustainable value generation for the organization.
  • Drive financial performance through high quality decision support including overall P&L, sales and margin management, free cash flow, ROIC and close control over cost and expense management
  • Make key financial decisions with supporting quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive long-term premiumization and growth strategies for the Brand House
  • Analyze the House financial performance & forecast to deliver the long-term Brand House ambition across planning horizons (Strategic Plan, Budget, Performance and on-going Risks & Opportunities)
  • Support the assessment and deployment of the innovation pipeline (new product launches, LTOs, re-designs, discontinuations, etc.) to enhance brand value growth and evaluate levers to improve current brand profitability
  • Review and appraise capital investment decisions during the planning process, particularly as it relates to capacity expansion
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve best in class analytics and finance support
  • Maintain financial controls and compliance with SGS processes and procedures
  • Maintain financial reporting integrity and control across the Brand House
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or Business Administration; MBA a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of financial experience
  • English proficiency is required
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required - ability to extract, manipulate, mine, and analyze data for key insights
  • Ability to conceptualize and think creatively
  • Strong intellectual ability and demonstrated ability to manage multiple stage projects to their completion
  • Strong analytical, Excel, and computer skills a must
  • Excellent communication and personal skills; develop and maintain productive cross functional and key working relationships across the organization
  • 10% travel required
