The Finance Business Partner supports the delivery of financial planning, management reporting, commercial analysis and financial governance across the New Zealand and Australian business. The role works closely with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to provide accurate reporting, forecasting, financial analysis and process support that enables informed business decisions.

The position is responsible for coordinating key finance processes, supporting new product financial evaluations, managing brand investment reporting and ensuring the timely completion of recurring financial activities.

Role Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare monthly forecast submissions by remapping and integrating SBF forecasts into SGS financial systems and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Analyse forecast movements and prepare variance commentary against previous forecasts.
• Support the annual Strategic Plan and Budget process, including loading information into SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Assist with the ongoing improvement of forecasting and reporting processes.

• Prepare the monthly SGS Day 3 Profit & Loss reporting by consolidating information from multiple financial systems.
• Produce financial analysis and reporting to support monthly business performance reviews.
• Prepare Brand Profit & Loss reporting, including Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) analysis against budget and prior year.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support commercial and finance stakeholders.

• Coordinate financial models through the New Product Development stage-gate process.
• Gather and validate financial inputs from Category, Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
• Prepare profitability analysis to support investment decisions.
• Assist with maintaining and improving the NPD financial modelling process.

• Coordinate annual and bi-annual transfer pricing and statutory reporting requirements
• Assist with the preparation of statutory reporting, including Provisional Values Scheme reporting.
• Provide financial information to support tax and compliance requirements as requested.

• Submit monthly Brand Investment forecasts for submission to the Master Data team.
• Coordinate marketing accrual calculations and reporting.
• Send Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) and aged accrual reports and follow up with business stakeholders.
• Propose intercompany rebills and marketing cost reallocations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations across Salesforce, SAP and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
• Support Brand teams by providing reporting on marketing expenditure, accruals and budget performance.
• Process budget amendments and marketing fund transfers within SAP.
• Assist with finance systems enhancements and process improvements, including Buywise implementation.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate outstanding vendor balances.

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• CA ANZ, CPA or equivalent qualification, or working towards completion.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting or commercial finance.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Experience using SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

• Experience within FMCG or consumer goods.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Experience supporting marketing finance or new product development processes.
