The Demand Planning Data Modeling & Analytics Analyst role combines process knowledge with systems & analytics expertise to deliver high-quality business insights, improve forecasting performance and drive better decision-making across our global business. This role will be a key enabler to increase the Statistical Forecasting adoption across all SGS Business Units, as well as supporting the Statistical Forecasting & Demand Data Modeling roadmap execution.

Role Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling Roadmap Execution:
    • Execution of assigned initiatives within the Statistical Forecasting and Data Modeling roadmap.
  • Statistical Forecasting Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead the statistical forecast model enhancement activities: pre-processing and forecasting algorithms optimization, stat model assignments, SKU-level stat forecast output, time series analysis optimization, and related.
    • Execute recurrent Stat performance reviews: proactively evaluate all stat-related metrics (accuracy, bias, FVA, stability) to flag potential performance drops in advance of the business.
    • Own maintenance of stat-related elements in IBP.
  • Partnering with Demand IT:
    • Partner with Demand IT to develop / enhance current statistical forecasting capabilities: improving back testing approach, optimizing IBP stat-related components (PLM, disaggregation logic, and related).
    • Coordinate and perform stat-related IBP enhancements: creation of new KFs, planning levels, measures / KPIs, application job templates, and related.
    • Perform IBP-related testing for new developments / enhancements: ensure correct IBPQA-IBPPROD flow for new elements through proper testing process.
  • Partnering with CoE Regional Leads:
    • Analyze forecasting performance trends and recommend improvement opportunities in partnership with Regional Planning CoEs. Support the "train the trainer" approach, ensuring proper knowledge transfer to the CoE Regional Leads for assigned topics.
Qualifications

Technical skills

Demonstrated experience working with Demand Planning systems is mandatory; SAP IBP/APO is a plus
    • Experience using SAP IBP Statistical Forecasting is strongly preferred
    • Understanding of statistical forecasting principles
    • Advanced Excel; SAP IBP Excel Add-in is a plus
Education/Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred), Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related
    • 3-5 years total experience with preference in Supply Chain Management (Demand Planning experience is preferred), Commercial Finance / FP&A or related fields
