SP Industries, an ATS Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our growing team in Warminster, PA.

The Manufacturing Manager leads daily manufacturing execution in a project-based, engineer-to-order capital equipment environment. This role drives safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement across fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, test, and production support.

Designed as a developmental leadership role, this position offers the opportunity to expand organizational impact, lead complex manufacturing operations, and build the skills needed for future advancement into senior operations leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and manufacturing associates.
  • Set clear expectations for accountability, teamwork, attendance, quality, and execution.
  • Support performance discussions, skill development, recognition, and succession planning.

Manufacturing Execution

  • Manage daily production priorities, labor allocation, and schedule attainment.
  • Remove barriers that impact delivery, productivity, or project milestones.
  • Use daily management, GEMBA, and visual controls to improve flow and execution.

Safety and Quality

  • Champion a Safety-First culture and ensure compliance with site procedures.
  • Drive quality ownership at the source and support corrective actions.
  • Reduce rework, NCRs, and repeat issues through root cause problem solving.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Kaizen, standard work, and visual management initiatives.
  • Improve throughput, labor productivity, first-pass quality, and schedule reliability.
  • Support ATS Business Model deployment and sustainment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service.
  • Support manufacturability improvements, material readiness, FAT preparation, and customer milestones.
  • Escalate risks early with clear recovery plans and ownership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, or industrial operations experience.
  • 2+ years leading people, shifts, cells, departments, or production teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or employee engagement.
  • Strong communication, follow-through, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in capital equipment, industrial machinery, pharma equipment, aerospace, automation, or engineer-to-order manufacturing.
  • Exposure to fabrication, machining, welding, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or test operations.
  • Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, daily management, or visual factory experience.
  • ERP/MRP experience and comfort using data to manage priorities and performance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.

HSE:

All managers are responsible for creating a positive safety culture and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. It is the responsibility of each manager to ensure that employees receive regular training regarding health, safety and environmental matters. Each manager is also accountable to ensure that HSE matters are addressed in a timely manner and that compliance with both legislative and corporate requirements are maintained.

Manager responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:

  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment compliance
  • Hold team members accountable for health, safety and environmental compliance as part of the annual performance review process
  • Ensure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained
  • Carry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements
  • Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established training matrix
  • Implement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
  • Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition
  • Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees
  • Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees
